Sri Anand Prakash, nominated as part-time Government Director on the Board of Indian Railway Finance Corporation is an IRAS officer of 1988 CSE batch. He holds the charge of Executive Director Finance (Budget) in Railway Board w.e.f.27.06.2016. In addition, he has charge of Executive Director Finance (Resource Mobilisation) also.

Sri Anand Prakash has done M.Sc in Physics from Allahabad University and M.Phil in Social Science from Panjab University, Chandigarh.In his career as a Railway Officer he has the experience of working in various capacities in Accounts and Finance Departments of zonal railways i.e. Central, Northeast frontier and Northern Railways and in Railway Board. He has worked in Railway Divisions, Workshops and on Construction Projects. While in Railway Board he has worked in the Budget Directorate dealing with the preparation and presentation of the Railway Budget and its execution.

On deputation to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), as Director (Road Transport) under Central Staffing Scheme, he dealt with policy making in the road transport sector which included Motor Vehicles Act and Rules, Carriage by Road Act and Rules, Road Transport Corporations Act, Amendments in these Acts, homologation of vehicles, emission norms for new/in-use vehicles, Road Transport and Road Safety Policy. He also held additional charge of Executive Director, Association of Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU) for over a year while working as Director in MoRTH which dealt with common issues pertaining to transport corporations of various states in providing public transport.
He has also attended various training programmes on Management, Public Administration, Public Budgeting and Fiscal Management, Tendering etc in India and abroad at Institutes like RSC/Vadodara, IIPA/Delhi, ISB/Hyderabad, NIFM/Faridabad, University of Georgia, Atlanta/USA and DUKE University/USA.
